PRODUCT MANAGER
SALARY: £24-30k+ Benefits

COMPANY INFORMATION:
An excellent opportunity for a Product Manager to join this well established manufacturing organisation based in South Yorkshire.
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
You will ideally have a marketing and product management background within the manufacturing industry and ideally with a degree in marketing/ product management or equivalent skills and experience.
ROLE INFORMATION:
· Support the Senior Product Manager to formulate strategies and agree objectives and targets for the product range with regards to sales, market penetration, product mix, distribution channels and stock turn.
· Responsible for product positioning, pricing, forecasting, and product cycle management
· Identify new product and market opportunities within the product range.
· Specify and document product and market opportunities.
· Bring new products to market; once they have been developed and released by R & D.
· Propose, execute and monitor pricing and discounting of both existing and new products.
· Forecast sales of existing and new products and liaises with purchasing to ensure availability.
· Manage stock turn, propose and implement corrective action both where stock turn targets are not being met and
· Manage profitability, propose and implement corrective actions where sales, growth or profit targets are not being achieved.
· Track product cycles and propose and implement actions where such actions are needed to extend or modify cycles.
· Identify the needs of product additions - deletions - improvements or introductions.
· Responsible for the growth, profit growth and target achievement of this product range.
