Leasehold Officer
Location: : Barnsley - Barnsley
Rate: £ 19 to £ 23 (contract/temp (per hour))
My client is looking to recruit for a leasehold officer to be responsible for the development of the Leasehold Management service including leading & guiding the service through the process of lease variation, the implementation of variable service charges and representing the Organisation in Leasehold Valuation Tribunals.
* To lead on the development of the Leasehold management service to ensure compliance with legislation.
* To review and develop procedures for the management of leasehold properties to ensure the Organisation carries out its regulatory and statutory duties as a Landlord
* To develop and introduce a standard lease which includes service charges for a management fee, administration charges, estate management charges and to direct the application process for a variation of the current lease.
* To represent the Organisation in Leasehold Valuation Tribunals with regard to the lease variation application.
* To advise on and direct the consultation arrangements with Leaseholders and to advise support Leaseholders through the lease variation process.
* To advise customers and staff on expert matters relating to leasehold service charges and respond to queries from solicitors and other agencies as required.
* Ensure that Health and Safety standards are maintained in accordance with the safety policies and the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety Regulations for the Benefit of the staff.
* Make use of the computer equipment in respect of the duties of the post, having particular regard to the security of the data held and the provisions of the Data Protection Act.
* Attend appropriate in-service training as arranged.
* To ensure that equalities issues are properly addressed with regard to all functions within the post-holders remit.
* And any other duties falling within the scope of the post, as requested by management.
